Champaign resident Stig Lanesskog has stepped down from his position on the Champaign Unit 4 School District Board of Education. He submitted his resignation to the Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Judy Wiegand on June 6.
A Board member since 2009, Lanesskog has served previously as the Board President and Vice President.
Superintendent Dr. Judy Wiegand said the District will work closely with the Regional Office of Education to fill the open seat on the Board for the remainder of the term, which expires in April 2015.
