College Improv Tournament at Class Act

PosterClass Act, interactive education and events, is thrilled to have been chosen by Chicago Improv Festival as a regional partner to co-produce the 4th annual, College Improv Tournament.

The Lower Midwest Regional will be held at Class Act, 114 S. Neil this Saturday, Nov. 6, from 12:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m. There are 12 teams slated to compete hailing from 10 different colleges: University of Illinois, Ohio State, Ball State, Illinois State, University of Dayton, Oberlin, Vanderbilt, Indiana University, Purdue and Kenyon College

Preliminary rounds are at 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. at Class Act, 114 S. Neil in downtown Champaign. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.

All tickets may be purchased at the door ― cash or credit card accepted.

At 8:00 p.m., Chicago groups, pH, Dominizuelan and Pimprov will be performing. They are hilarious ― a must-see for comedy lovers, and a great chance to see Chicago improv right here in Champaign!

Finals are at 10:00 p.m. ― tickets for the final round are $10 for students and $15 for adults.

“Chicago Improv Festival Productions is happy to be in partnerships with such strong and vibrant regional improv theatres for our ever expanding tournament,” says Jonathan Pitts. “We are excited to use the lessons of improv theatre to make a creative environment for many college students whom would not otherwise have this opportunity.”
