Champaign Centennial Fashion Club holding Prom Dress Drive

From the press release:

Champaign Centennial’s Fashion Club serves as an avenue for identity exploration and expression. The club, led by senior Kieryn Alexander, works to counter existing, elitist attitudes toward fashion (fash-ism) by promoting a DIY ethos. This year we’ve hosted a pop-up thrift store, weekly student-led knitting tutorials, and, presently a prom dress drive.

We want to ensure that participation in prom is accessible for all of our students. To this end, we’re taking donations. If you have an old prom dress you’d be willing to part with, you can drop it off at Centennial High School (913 S. Crescent Dr.) at the main office. If you have any further questions, contact kieryn.mail@comcast.net.
