YWCA of the University of Illinois is partnering with the U of I RSOs National Lawyers Guild and Education Law and Policy Society to host a workshop on knowing your rights when stopped by the police. The event is on October 27th at 6 p.m. at the Douglass Branch Library, and it’s free and open to the public. From the event flyer:
Recent increases in violence in CU mean that more people are having interactions with the police. What can you do? What should you not do? What you should expect from police encounters.
You can RSVP for the workshop at the YWCA website.
