At the end of Cumberland Road in Jabez, Kentucky, Bobby Lee Charles lives a quiet and simple life. Since his wife passed, it’s just been him alone in the hundred year old farmhouse built by his daddy. In an effort to off-set his expenses and make use of his empty basement, he hangs a “Room For Rent” sign at the local Quick-Stop. Eventually, the ad is answered and the new tenants arrive, bringing with them the Devil himself.
What follows is a bone-chewing, meth-shooting, baby-screaming nightmare that is not for the faint of heart. Whitey contains extremely dark humor, graphic language and violence and is not suitable for children or anyone that doesn’t like edgy, in-your-face theater.
Whitey is a world-premiere theater event, a new play written by Mark Roberts and directed by Rick Orr, featuring actors Mike Trippiedi, David Barkley, and Lindsey Markel.
