Attention Local Actors!
The What You Will Shakespeare Company will hold auditions for its production of The Revenger’s Tragedy on Wednesday, March 5th, from 6-10 p.m. Auditions for this Thomas Middleton classic will be held in the English Building, Room 150. No experience or preparation required.
The production, to be directed by Megan Scharlau, will reflect the chaotic nature of the bizarrely humorous tragedy by placing the events of the play in no single point in time or place; the costumes, music, and even styles of the characters may range from traditionally Elizabethan to wildly Beatnik. In so doing, the production hopes to further illustrate the timelessness and universal nature of the play’s subjects: love, loss, lust, greed, and of course, vengeance.
