On April 1st, Veo will be launching the Cosmo-e Class 2 E-Bike in Champaign-Urbana. It’s already been rolled out in several U.S. cities. According to the press release, it will have both “a throttle-assist motor and pedals to make it easier for riders of varying body types and physical abilities to ride long distances comfortably while maintaining balance and control.”
The bikes will go up to 15 mph, and are equipped with a brake light and batteries that can be swapped out by technicians on site.
Veo first appeared in C-U in 2018, with the VeoRide dockless bikes. An effort to bring electric scooters into the mix never came to fruition.
