If you’ve never been to Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts, this might be something worth making the short drive for. They are partnering with the Coalescence Theatre Project for the production #ShePersisted, which will consist of three dramatic readings. Scripts were sent to the project from all over the U.S., and here are the three that were chosen:
Perfectly Normal by Karen Cecilia of Brooklyn, New York
January 31st, 7:30 p.m.
Black Like Us by Rachel Atkins of Seattle, Washington
February 2nd, 2:30 p.m.
Parts & Pieces by Amy Tofte of Los Angeles, California
February 2nd, 7:30 p.m.
From the BCPA website:
Coalescence is proud to present this sampling of some of the incredible works that are being written by talented women, trans, femme and non-binary playwrights from around the world.
The plays selected will present the Bloomington-Normal audience with three different points of view on what it means to be a family.
