USC and UCLA are joining the Big Ten

Big Ten chancellors and presidents met Thursday night to vote on whether to allow the two California schools to join the 14 other schools in the conference. The vote was unanimous, so as of the 2024-2025 season, the Big Ten will have 16 schools that reach from coast to coast. From ESPN, “While finances are playing a big role in the move, competitiveness, brand and the overall landscape of the future of the sport have played a bigger role.”
