Smile Politely

Urbana School District announces free lunches this summer for those 18 and younger

It’s no secret that food insecurity is no joke, and that many students who attend schools, even right here in Champaign-Urbana, rely on those lunches for nourishment. In the summer time, those meals seemingly vanish, which is why the Urbana School District has announced that it will offer free meals to those under 18 years old for the better part of the summer months.

From June 5th through July 13th (Monday – Thursday), free meals will be available at various Urbana schools allowing for much-needed help for those who require it.
