Ever known about cricket but haven’t learned the rules? Now you’re in luck, because Urbana Park District is offering various cricket events at Lohmann Park in April.
First is a free introductory cricket demo for those aged 8 and up, featuring members of the University of Illinois cricket team on April 2nd from 9-10am.
Second are two-week Cricket Clinic sessions with the Cricket Club of Central Illinois. The sessions are April 9th & 16th and April 23rd & 30th from 9-10 am for those aged 8 and up, as well.
Participants will learn the rules and sport-specific skills before playing a shortened game at the end of each session. Registration for Cricket Clinic is here.
