U of I group hosting vigil against terrorism tonight

If you’ve been following the news over the past couple of weeks, terrorism across the globe has become pretty hard to ignore. With recent attacks in London, Paris, Kabul, and most recently, Tehran, attacks are becoming more prevalent than ever.

Tonight, however, the University of Illinois’ Iranian Cultural Association will be hosting a vigil for victims of terrorism all across the world.

Things kick off at 8:15 pm at the Alma Mater at Wright and Green. For more information, RSVP to the Facebook event here, and read the description below:

We would like to gather Thursday night in solidarity with families and firends of the victims of Wednesday morning’s terrorist attack in Tehran. Please join us at 8:15 pm at University of Illinois Alma Mater (409 W Green St, Urbana, IL 61801).

This is the first terror attack in Tehran in decades. We condemn terrorism wherever it is and stand united with Tehran, Kabul, London, Paris and all! We want peace in the world.
