For those of you looking for something to do this weekend, Urbana’s Market at the Square will be offering some unique entertainment as part of their monthly Art at the Market series. This time, the music of The Old Paints and a puppet workshop by Anne Newman will be at the market starting at 8 am and running until 11:30/noon.

June’s Art at the Market will feature a Performance by The Old Paints and a puppet workshop by Anne Newman
The City of Urbana Public Arts Program will hold its second series of free monthly art activities at Urbana’s Market at the Square on Saturday, June 10th. From 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. create your own Puppet with Anne Newman and her Make-It-Take-It Puppet Craft. From 9:30am to 11:30am, enjoy original musical of the acoustic trio, The Old Paints.
Both events are free, open to all ages, and require no registration to participate. The workshop and performance will be held on Walnut Street near the City of Urbana tent at the northwest entrance to the Market at the Square, located in historic downtown Urbana on Illinois and Vine.
The City offers art programming during Urbana’s Market at the Square season. Workshops and performances will take place every second Saturday on the following dates for the remainder of the summer: July 8th, August 12th, September 9th, and October 14th. This program is part of the Urbana Public Arts Program, providing opportunities for all residents to engage with the arts in its many forms.
