There’s still time to register for Theatre of the Hummingbird

Theatre of the Hummingbird—a community-based, youth-driven, participatory theatre project for ages 14-20—is still accepting participants. The project is led by Lisa Fay and Jeff Glassman.

The project will rehearse Fridays and Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m., February 6th – March 8th. The project will culminate in a powerful evening of live theatre centered around themes of burning importance originated and performed by the participants.

WHERE: Community Center for the Arts (C4A), 103 N. Race St., Urbana

Space is limited. The project is offered free to interested area youth with a suggested, but not required, donation of $75.00 per participant. Register online at

The project will culminate in performances therefor we ask that participants be able to commit to the entire series of sessions. Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in.

Orientation – Meet and Greet February 6th 5-6 p.m.

First Session February 6th & 7th 6-9 p.m.

February 13th & 14th 6-9 p.m.

February 27th & 28th 6-9 p.m.

Mini-Preview/Showing February 28th – 2 hrs. (afternoon time, location TBD)

March 6th & 7th 6-9 p.m.

Matinee Showing March 8th (time, location TBD)

Final Evening Performance w/ Reception March 8th (time, location TBD)
