Support Par(cell)ed Words | Writing from the County Jail

Rachel Storm and Becca Sorgert are co-teaching a poetry class at the Champaign County Jail. They’re hoping to produce a chapbook or zine of their students’ (incarcerated men at the jail) writing for local distribution.

They’ve launched a Kickstarter to help generate $500+ in funds to help them produce copies of a full-color chapbook that will feature student artwork and poetry. These copies will be distributed to local libraries, poetry enthusiasts, and to the students, their friends, and families.

If you’d like to help them reach their goal, go here.
