If I am correct in thinking the White House shrubbery is looking slightly less kempt than usual, I applaud Barack and Michelle Obama.
The hedges seem fluffier, less precisely edged. It’s like Urbana, where everything’s shaggy. More leaves = more CO2 absorption, and less emission from icky gas-powered hedge trimmers.
(I am okay with quieter, non-emitting electric trimmers.)
