Save the date for Krannert Art Museum’s Opening Night September 1st

Krannert Art Museum will open the exhibition Fake News & Lying Pictures: Political Prints in the Dutch Republic on September 1st (5 to 8 p.m.). The exhibition “explores the ways early modern Dutch printmakers used prints to shape public opinion around historical events, create political heroes and villains, and form consensus for collective action.” It sounds super interesting and relevant (sadly).

There’s a call for art related to this exhibition from kids 14 to 18 years old; the deadline is July 1st. Learn more here.

In the meantime, though, you can check out the exhibitions on view this summer, including new prints in the Modernist Strategies exhibition we reviewed last summer.
