Renegade art pushes boundaries at IMC

Tomorrow, Friday, September 18th, the IMC opens a new exhibition featuring three local artists who specialize in Comics-style art.

Subtitled “Storytelling in two dimensions”, you can be sure these three will be spinning visual yarns that don’t stay in the lines.

Damian Duffy‘s work explores hot-button topics in genre-bending settings.

Nina Paley has given away her movies for years, despite their extraordinary worth.

Grant Thomas speaks about music and outsiderism in a way that is simultaneously disturbing and comforting.

You have two weeks to catch the exhibit at the IMC in Urbana, at 202 S. Broadway, you know, the old post office right next to Lincoln Square Mall.
