On Sunday, May 26, 1:00–5:00 p.m., the Community Center for the Arts (C4A) will host the second annual Race Street Bash, a free street festival celebrating the arts, featuring the Duke of Uke and His Novelty Orchestra playing on the outdoor stage at 4:00 p.m. Race Street Bash will take place on Race Street just north of Main Street in downtown Urbana.
In addition to the Duke of Uke, Race Street Bash will include performances by C4A faculty musicians and student ensembles and a live-music cakewalk. There will also be popcorn and lemonade, games, juggling, face-painting, and workshops involving music, theater, and circus arts. Local craft artists will be showing and selling their work, and kids of all ages will be able to make their own creations in the KidsZone.

The Community Center for the Arts works to build the greater Champaign-Urbana community by making the arts accessible to all, through teaching, performing, and collaborations with organizations and groups in the C-U area, such as 40North, the Urbana Business Association, the Urbana Free Library, Indi Go Artist Co-op, the Iron Post, Clark-Lindsey Village, and the Windsor of Savoy.
Race Street Bash is free and open to the public. In case of rain, Race Street Bash will take place in the east end of the downtown Urbana parking garage.
