Prosperity Gardens is getting a new building

Students in Professor Mark Taylor’s Architecture 473 class are working with the Farnsworth Group architecture firm to transform the building at 303 North First Street in Champaign into the Urban Gardening and Prosperity Gardens headquarters.

Plans have been submitted to the City for a permit.

Prosperity Gardens, a City of Champaign Township program, provides fresh produce for Daily Bread Soup Kitchen and Carle Mobile Market. They also offer employment opportunities on their urban farms to homeless individuals.
