On Sunday, January 31st, Prairie Fruits Farm will host the first in their Dinner on the Farm series: dinner and a movie. Tickets are $50, and include the movie and dinner. Booze is sold separately. Get your tickets here.
From 5 to 9 p.m., you can enjoy a four course meal and watch a fancy French flick (with English subtitles). The Girl from Paris (2001) tells the story of a young woman who leaves a computer-centric job in Paris to become a farmer.
Here’s the menu:
1st: Polenta Cake with grated “Magia Negra”, roasted beets, pickled turnip, charred carrot with a pumpernickel-boiled dressing drizzle
2nd: Spinach & Huckleberry Bleu Bread Pudding, crispy kale, roasted onion & corn shoot chimichurri
3rd: Braised Pork Cheek, green tea & chèvre radish slaw, caraway seed & carrot consommé
Dessert: Applejack stack cake, banana pudding filling, prairie fruits gelato
