Parkland College Art, Design Open House, April 20
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Parkland College Fine and Applied Arts department will host its annual Art and Design Open House Thursday, April 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the college’s C wing art annex and the lower level of its D wing.
The open house offers an ideal way to learn why Parkland College is an exceptional school for art and design. Prospective students can tour the campus, talk with art faculty, and view the Art and Design Student Exhibition, on display in the Giertz Gallery through May 6.
This special opportunity also includes demonstrations in sculpture, metalsmithing/jewelry, drawing, and graphic design. Prospective students will be encouraged to visit ceramics, drawing, and photography classes that are in session during the open house.
Preregistration is suggested but not required for this free event, at parkland.edu/FAAopenhouse. Parking is available in the C4 lot. Signs will indicate the access to the open house, near the southeast corner of the art wing.
