Panaderia San Miguel Bakery serves a variety of Mexican pastries

Urbana has a new bakery called Panaderia San Miguel Mexican Bakery, and it opens tomorrow, Wednesday, December 14th. The bakery will have over 100 different kinds of Mexican pastries for opening day, all handmade by a baker with more than 20 years experience making Mexican sweet breads. The bakery will also have drip coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, flavored water, horchata, and Mexican sodas.

There is no menu, so you’ll just have to visit the bakery to see what’s available. The baker knows over 200 recipes for Mexican sweet breads and plans to offer different combinations and a rotating menu of pastries each day.

Tomorrow, there will be churros, doughnuts, and more. Here is a sneak peek at some of the baked goods:

Prices for the pastries will vary but most will be about $2. On opening day, Wednesday, December 14th, all pastries will be buy one, get one free. The bakery has the same owner as La Mixteca and El Oasis.
