Best of the Summer Blockbusters

Starting this weekend, rediscover the beloved motion pictures that defined the term “Blockbuster.” Each Saturday in June, the Virginia will feature a classic Summer film at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The series begins June 1 with E.T. the Extra Terrestrial — a story familiar to many, but destined to become a new favorite with younger audiences. A meek, alienated little boy finds a stranded extraterrestrial. He then has to find the courage to defy the authorities to help the alien return to its home planet. See below for complete movie showtimes.

Don’t miss the return of Reel Deals to the Virginia! Featuring new movie releases just out of first run (but not yet on DVD!), Reel Deals are a wonderfully affordable way to check out a film you missed the first time … or catch a second viewing of an audience favorite. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m.

Oz the Great and Powerful, a 2013 fantasy adventure based on L. Frank Baum’s acclaimed books and directed by Sam Raimi, will be our first Reel Deal since reopening the theatre in April. Starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams. See below for complete movie showtimes.
