Local hip-hop queens T.R.U.T.H. and Klevah, known collectively as Mother Nature, are hosting a free youth festival today at the Independent Media Center. This will be the culmination of the duo’s week-long hip-hop youth workshop, which is providing local youth with a fresh way to express themselves in a supportive environment. The workshop has been a fresh, innovative take on the concept of a youth summer camp and is among the first of its kind in the area. The ladies of Mother Nature continue to show their importance to the C-U community through not only their own talent, but by embracing and encouraging the talent of others.
The all-ages festival starts are 5 p.m. and is a free, fundraising event, with donations going towards more youth programs. It will feature performances by the camp goers supported by local artists, as well as games and refreshments.
