You should read the story about Sampson, the bestest service dog you could probably ever imagine, as he was featured alongside his owner in People magazine on Friday. (The duo made an appearance on Daily Mail as well.) Sampson is a service dog for Joey Ramp, who is a neuroscientist at the University of Illinois, who suffered head injuries from a horse-riding accident in 2006. Sampson is such an important part of what she does, Ramp mentions in the article that she “couldn’t possibly navigate academics or a neuroscience program without his assistance” which is legitimately making my heart grow a few sizes bigger as I type this.
By the looks of it, he’s been doing a very good job for a few years now.
Sampson is such a good boy that he suits up and wears PPE as he helps out in the lab throughout the day. I mean, look at him — so stoic and ready to be part of the team. I’m going to give him a 13/10.
