Executive Chef for Hire at First-ever Lodgic Everyday Community

Lodgic’s Flagship Location in Champaign, IL Set to Hire Multiple Management Positions

CHAMPAIGN, May 10, 2018 — Lodgic Everyday Community — a Moose International nonprofit initiative launching in Champaign summer 2018 — immediately seeks to hire an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Food & Beverage Manager, and Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, with line staff roles soon to follow. Lodgic Everyday Community is the first-ever blend of productivity-boosting workspace, flexible drop-in childcare, and fun, good-for-you dining — all in one energizing everyday place.

“The Lodgic development team spent some time recently in our Midtown Manhattan test kitchen where we finalized the menu concept for Everyday Kitchen Restaurant & Bar, and Clever Moose Market Cafe,” said Jori Orsini, Lodgic Everyday Community, Executive Director, Hospitality Operations (EDHO). “Now we need an Executive Chef to bring it to life in Champaign-Urbana!”

Lodgic aims to regionally source approximately 40% of its menu and is committed to serving-up smart dining that is healthy, energizing, and affordable. The Executive Chef is responsible for the production and quality of all food for two outlets — a high-quality, fast-casual, market-style cafe and a full-service restaurant and bar — and related revenue centers within Lodgic. The Executive Chef reports directly to the EDHO.

“Our Executive Chef has a really exciting and unique opportunity to do something few chefs ever get to do,” said Orsini. “This person is going to help give life to something that has been in the works for years, backed by a 130-year-old, international, fraternal service organization who’s reinventing itself for the twenty-first century. Our Executive Chef must be camera-ready with authentic energy, passion and enthusiasm for their craft and the Lodgic brand.” said Orsini.

Lodgic’s Sous Chefs will provide traditional responsibilities in this role, but in an innovative kind of place that allows for creativity and cross-functional collaboration with Lodgic Workplace, Lodgic Kids Camp and private event space needs.

Lodgic’s Food & Beverage Manager and Assistant Food & Beverage Manager will work in tandem to coordinate the daily restaurant management operations across Clever Moose and Everyday Kitchen, while delivering superior food-and-beverage service across the entire facility, and maximizing customer satisfaction.
