PRESS RELEASE*****PRESS RELEASE*****
Kickapoo Landing will be ending 15 years of service to Kickapoo State Park visitors in September 2016. The Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources has extended the date of the termination of the lease for Kickapoo Landing located in Kickapoo State Park to September 18, 2016. In May, IDNR had issued a lease termination notice to Kickapoo Landing effective July 20, 2016.
Kickapoo Landing operates the café, bait shop and the boat and tube rentals (both lake and river) from its location in Kickapoo State Park. We are a venue for local musicians who play on our stage twice a week during the summer months.
We look forward to providing these services for the rest of the summer!
It has been a pleasure for us to serve the visitors of Kickapoo State Park for the last 15 years. We have thoroughly enjoyed making good friends who come out for the music, the boating or just because they like a good lunch with a scenic view.
We thank everyone who called IDNR or other State officials, your efforts were instrumental in extending the date of our lease termination.
We hope to see you at The Landing sometime in the next two months!! Thanks for your support!
