Humanities Research Institute is hosting a lecture on “Censoring Palestine”

“Censoring Palestine” is a virtual lecture featuring Dima Khalidi, founder and director of Palestine Legal & Cooperating Counsel with the Center for Constitutional Rights, and will center on free expression as it relates to the rights of Palestinians. From the Facebook event page:

“When it comes to talking about freedom and human rights for Palestinians, there is suddenly a ‘Palestine Exception’ to free speech. Why is talking about Palestinian freedom so vilified, why do our institutions, elected officials, and lobby groups go to such lengths to shut down a growing justice movement, and what’s at stake for all of us?”

The lecture is open to the public, but registration is required by September 7th.
