Here are the fall leaf collection dates for Urbana

Leaf collection in Urbana will begin in November. There are three week when the city will be collecting:

  • Week of November 2 – 6
  • Week of November 16 – 20
  • Week of November 30 – December 4

From the press release:

Leaves must be placed in 30-gallon paper lawn & garden bags and set at the street curb or right-of-way before 6 a.m. on your scheduled U-Cycle collection day. Only leaves and non-woody plant material is accepted in the leaf collection program.

The City will not accept woody materials such as branches, tree limbs or brush.  Ripped or torn leaf bags will not be collected. The vendor is not liable if materials break through leaf bags upon collection. Bags must be visible from the street, and free-and-clear from objects such as cars at the street curb. Bags that are taped will not be collected. Please do not tarp bagged leaves. Bags with anything other than leaves or non-woody plant material will not be collected.

Woody materials such as branches or brush may be taken to the Urbana Landscape Recycling Center, at 1210 E. University Avenue, for a fee. Questions regarding the program may be directed to U-Cycle at (217) 384-2302.
