Chikondi is a new craft chocolate company in C-U

A new local business called Chikondi Craft Chocolate offers bean-to-bar high end chocolates. The company hand-sorts each batch of cacao beans, roasts them, and only uses two ingredients (cacao nibs and pure raw cane sguar) in their craft chocolate. The woman-owned business was co-founded by Miranda Church and Shawnae Cook, and they are passionate about supporting the small batch craft chocolate movement.

Earlier this year, Julie wrote about Chikondi’s chocolates which were included in Japan House’s Valentine’s box. You can buy the hand-crafted chocolate online. If you want to learn more, Chikondi offers a bean-to-bar education classes in addition to a truffle making class.
