Check out the menu and some bites at Martinelli’s Market

Opened this Tuesday, Martinelli’s Market Bakery & Deli offers sandwiches, meat and cheese by the pound, baked goods, and pantry staples.

Take a look at the menu. The deli offers sandwiches like reubens, an Italian, Muffuletta, goat cheese and fig, and PB&J. There are also salads and a soup, too.

Inside, diners fill out what they want to eat from the middle counter and approach the cashier to order.

I tried the beef and Swiss sandwich ($18.95) which came sliced on the diagonal and wrapped in parchment paper with a pickle. I really liked the crunch on the toasted rosemary sourdough. The melted Swiss and the juicy shaved beef went well with the sweet caramelized onion jam and zippy mustard.

I also tried the matzo ball soup ($8.45). The soup had a hand-rolled matzo ball in a tasty broth with shredded chicken and thinly sliced carrots, onions, and celery. It was pretty good but kind of small.
