What: The Campaign for Better Health Care (CBHC), Illinois’ largest health care advocacy group, was named by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) as one of 37 organizations to receive federal funding to participate in the second year of the Get Covered Illinois (GCI) In-Person Counselor (IPC) Program, the state’s Affordable Care Act (ACA) outreach initiative. CBHC IPC’s help consumers to understand their health care coverage options and to select the coverage plan best suited to their needs. IPC’s provide an extensive knowledge of the Affordable Care Act and coverage plans available on Illinois’ Marketplace — all free of charge. CBHC is conducting IPC work in the Southwest Chicagoland and Central Illinois state regions during Open Enrollment: November 15 through February 15. On Friday, November 21st,  the CBHC of Champaign will be hosting the CU to Better Health Community Health Fair at the Urbana Free Library Auditorium from 9:30am to 5:30pm. This event will give consumers the opportunity to meet with a certified Navigator to discuss health care options, enroll in a health care coverage plan and learn about additional health care resources from community partners! Community partners include: Walgreens, Avecinna, the American Red Cross, PACE Center for Independent Living, The East Central Illinois Refugee Mutual Assistance Center, Dr. G’s Brainworks and possibly more to come!

Where: Urbana Free Library, 210 W. Green St., Urbana, IL 61801

When: Friday, November 21st from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
