Urbana Middle School (UMS) will host a BookFair at Barnes and Noble in Champaign on Saturday, April 6 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The UMS orchestra, band, and chorus will perform throughout the day. UMS students will be reading to children during the BookFair, and student artwork will be displayed throughout the store. UMS will receive a percentage of the profits from the day as long as patrons state they are with Urbana Middle School at the register. Don’t forget to let the cashier know! The money raised from this event will be used for a UMS end-of-the-year celebration for students that have not received referrals. Please review the schedule of events below for more details:
9:30 AM – 10:30 AM: UMS students will participate in a Curious George book reading with activities and a Curious George character.
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM: UMS Orchestra will perform.
1:00 PM – 1:30 PM: UMS Chorus will perform.
2:30 PM – 3:30 PM: Another Curious George book reading by UMS students.
7:00 PM – 7:30 PM: UMS Band will perform.
