Author Talk and Book Signing June 17

On Monday, June 17th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, the St. Joseph Township-Swearingen Memorial Library will host a presentation and signing of Susan Furlong Bolliger’s mystery novel, Murder for Bid.

Murder for Bid was released earlier this year from Martin Sisters Publishing. The story is a fast-paced, humorous mystery set in the Chicago area featuring an amateur sleuth that runs a resale business and, of course, stumbles upon a dead body or two.

Per the synopsis on “Former investment banker, Pippi O’Brien, has turned to resale merchandising for a living. Now, instead of trading on the Chicago Stock Exchange, she rummages through dumpsters, hits garage sales, and peruses consignment shops in search of cast-off treasures to sell online. That is… when she’s not busy playing detective. Join Pippi as she stumbles upon the mysterious murder of one of Chicago’s wealthiest suburban socialites and piles up a list of suspects and clues as disorganized as her over-stuffed apartment and as messy as her next trash-to-treasure project.”

The St. Joseph Township-Swearingen Memorial Library is located at 201 N. Third in St. Joseph.
