Professor Bob Rauber and a group of University of Illinois graduate students are working on a NASA project called IMPACTS (Investigation of Microphysics and Precipitation for Atlantic Coast-Threatening Snowstorms). The project studies winter storms in an effort to better predict snowfall, specifically along the Atlantic Coast.
