EDITOR’S PICK: PYGMALION MUSIC FESTIVAL
All over Champaign-Urbana (fest passes and single show tickets vary)
Thursday, September 26th – Saturday, September 28th

It’s here, folks. The weekend we’ve all been anticipating heavily all year long. Well, let’s be honest, we’ve been waiting for this weekend to come since the week after Pygmalion 2012 ended. This time around, not only is Major Lazer going to destroy Champaign-Urbana, along with the help of Breeders, Kurt Vile, Dawes, The Head and the Heart, Warpaint, Youth Lagoon and dozens of others this weekend, but there are a few new aspects. The Made Fest (Saturday) and Pygmalion Lit Fest (Friday & Saturday) will be going on in full force as well. If you haven’t done so already, you better get your act together and get your festival pass. It’s well worth it, and you’ll definitely regret it if you don’t.

WHAT: Harm’s Way, Homewrecker, Ghost Key, Doomsayer, Need

WHERE: Error Records ($10)

WHEN: Saturday, September 28th at 8 p.m.

Hardcore metal band Harm’s Way hails from Chicago and are making their way down to this portion of the state for a show at Error. They’re signed to Deathwish Records, which is pretty impressive (Converge, Deafheaven, Cold Cave). The show is a bit more than the typical $5 cover charge, and that’s why. They’re joined by four others, including hardcore bands Homewrcker (Ohio) and Ghost Key (Peoria), as well as Doomsayer (locals) and Need (Chicago).
