It is that time of the year again: Christmas in September. The Pygmalion Festival is back, celebrating year 10 in 2014. Ab-Soul is an excellent hip-hop artist, and he’s coming through on Thursday to Canopy Club. His new record, These Days…, is out, and if you haven’t done so, check out his record from a couple of years ago as well called Control System.

Rock outfit James Jones Trio will take on Cowboy Monkey this week with a couple of others. The Future Laureates and locals The Ars Nova join.

Beat Kitchen is a funk/soul outfit from C-U, and they’re a nine-piece, so there’s plenty of people involved in this production.

WHEN: Friday, September 26th at 10 p.m.

Nashville pop/R&B artist Kevin Valentine will perform at Cowboy Monkey on Friday night. Though there aren’t many details on who else will be performing, I’ll be sure to update it if I get more details.
