The Urbana Hootenanny

Every Monday at the Rose Bowl, come hang out with some great musicians. A sort of open mic meets song share, you can expect a variety of music and performers.

Jesus Fuentes Quartet

WEFT Sessions (virtual) // free // 10 p.m.

Jazz pianist Jesus Fuentes leads his quartet through some original tunes for a night of exciting jazz music. The quartet is Jesus Fuentes on piano, Matt Storie on sax, Andrew Binder on bass, and Maxwell Osawa on drums.

TUESDAY, November 30th

Jim Pryor Quartet

Rose Bowl Tavern // free // 5 p.m.

Jim Pryor, the award winning pianist is hitting the Rose Bowl with a team of Emma Taylor on bass, Frank Kurtz on drums, and Reggie Lewis on saxophone. A great night filled with jazz classics.

Josh Quirk and Friends

Boomerangs Bar and Grill // free // 6 p.m.

Josh Quirk on drums, Chip McNeil on saxophone, Kurt Reeder on keyboard, and Andrew Binder on bass!

Black Eyed Lillies

Rose Bowl Tavern // free // 7:30 p.m.

Tunesday Tuesday at Rose Bowl! Bringing together a mix of Americana, blues, and folk, Black Eyed Lillies are sure to keep you entertained with some great guitar playing and wonderful vocals.

U of I Vocal Jazz Combos

Two U of I Vocal combos are showcasing their talents as the fall semester comes to a close. Come out to the Rose Bowl to show your support.

Saxophonist Chip McNeil returns to bang out the tunes with his quartet. Come hang out for happy hour!

The Nightcaps

Alto Vineyards // free // 4:30 p.m.

Joni Dreyer, Dody Cosmedy, and Michele Osterbur-Smith are three leading women with powerful voices. Joined by Matt Stewart on guitar, the four make up The Nightcaps.

Jordan Kaye, The Tunewrangler

Rose Bowl Tavern // free // 5 p.m.

Bringing you songs, stories, and witty banter, Jordan Kaye is sure to be a night of fun. With a mix of rock, folk, and requests, come hangout at the Rose Bowl.

JMT 

Clark Bar // free // 6:30 p.m.

Country, pop, and oldies group JMT plays their last show at Clark Bar until April of next year. Come hang out and enjoy. 

Billy Galt

Hubers // free // 7 p.m.

Billy Galt lays down some great acoustic blues at Hubers for what is sure to be a great night.

Nightshop continues to be the go-to spot for deathcore, hardcore, beatdown, and anything heavy. I’d recommend some ear plugs for this show, as I imagine it’s going to be loud in the best way possible.

The Painkiller Blues Band

Bringing some classic blues and tasty licks, The Painkiller Blues Band never disappoints. Kick back on this fine Saturday afternoon. 

University of Illinois Jazz Trumpet Studio

Rose Bowl Tavern // free // 4 p.m.

Led by Tito Carrillo, come hear some great jazz trumpet to help celebrate the end of the semester. 

Colonel James Presents, Neoga, The Autocorrect

Rose Bowl Tavern // $5 // 8 p.m.

Rock and roll at the Rose Bowl with three amazing bands, so come out and enjoy. 

DJ Belly

NOLA’s Rock Bar // free // 10 p.m.

Looking for some late night Saturday fun? DJ Belly has you covered, spinning beats at NOLA’s through the evening, so come out and bring your best dance moves — it’s going to be a party.

Editor’s Pick: Rail Fest

Brass Rail // $10 // 3 p.m.

Rail Fest sees a killer lineup of local bands, headlined by Brendan Kelly and Matt Talbott. The fest goes all night and you won’t be disappointed by any of these acts. 

Silverweed

Rose Bowl Tavern // free // 5 p.m.

Silverweed plays originals and covers, ranging from Grateful Dead to Bob Dylan. This hippie cowboy is going to get you dancing!
