Remember when Billy Corgan wasn’t crazy? Me either. But numerous local fans and musicians will celebrate the good times (and the reissues of Gish and Siamese Dream) tonight at Exile. I know I’ll be crossing my fingers for “La Dolly Vita”.

Kilborn Alley are awesome. The Iron Post is awesome. Kilborn Alley are releasing a new album entitled FOUR at the Iron Post. Is this starting to come together for you yet?

WHAT: Take Care, Common Loon, Midstress

WHERE: Mike ‘N Molly’s ($5)

WHEN: Saturday, December 3rd at 9:00 p.m.

Back in July, Take Care, Common Loon and Midstress got featured on Polyvinyl’s Japan 3.11.11 benefit compilation alongside the likes of Deerhoof and of Montreal — and local bands from Tulsa and San Francisco. As part of that, each of those bands agreed to do a benefit in their respective hometown, and that plays out this weekend at Mike ‘N Molly’s.


WHAT: Clay Your Hands Say Yeah, Waters

WHERE: Foellinger Auditorium ($18 – $21)

WHEN: Sunday, December 4th at 7:00 p.m.

They may be a half-decade removed from “the Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth”, but the original blog band are still going strong, having released their third full-length Hysterical two months back. Also of note is that opening act Waters features Van Pierszalowski, formerly of the Morning Benders.
