WHAT: Daniel Bachman, Jeremiah Fisher

WHERE: indi go Co-op ($5)

WHEN: Tuesday, November 19th at 8 p.m.

North Carolina’s Daniel Bachman will be performing at indi go on Tuesday night with local experimental artist Jeremiah Fisher. Brendan did an interview with Fisher earlier this year, which you can check out here. Should make for an interesting show in this space this week.

EDITOR’S PICK: PHOX, WE THE ANIMALS, MIKE MAIMONE
The Highdive ($10) — Tuesday, November 19th at 8:30 p.m.

PHOX is coming back through C-U, and this is a definite highlight of the week in music. They performed back in March as a part of Mid By Midwest with Grandkids, Minor Characters and Cold Fronts. This is the last stretch of dates that you’ll be able to see them before they “go into hibernation” as they enter the studio in January. Check out the dates here on their upcoming tour, and the video for their studio announcement. This time around, they’re joined by a new project from Mark Wyman of Take Care/Barrowe, Kayla Brown, Joe Funderburk and Mikael Brackett called We the Animals, as well as a solo set from Mike Maimone of Mutts. Should be a good show, especially for a Tuesday night.

WHAT: Fitz & The Tantrums, Capital Cities, Beat Club

WHERE: State Farm Center ($17-$27)

WHEN: Wednesday, November 20th at 7:30 p.m.

Fitz & The Tantrums hail from Los Angeles and burst onto the national music scene with their debut album Pickin’ Up the PIeces, and now they’re on the “Bright Futures Tour” with Capital Cities. They’re making a tour stop here at State Farm Center at a fairly reasonable ticket price for a show like this.

WHAT: Datsik, Funtcase, Protohype, Rise at Night

Electro-club artist Datsik is bringing his “Most Wanted Tour” to The Canopy Club on Wednesday night. He’ll be joined by three others to make some noise and club up the Club.

WHAT: Tiny Moving Parts, Take Care, Enta, Goliath, Kellham

WHERE: Error Records ($5)

WHEN: Thursday, November 21st at 8 p.m.

Minnesota’s Tiny Moving Parts are back in C-U at Error Records, as they performed there back in July. David did an interview with the band, and they are pretty fun guys, so you can check that out prior to this show on Thursday night. They’re joined by locals Take Care and Enta, as well as Pekin’s Goliath and Indiana crew Kellham.

WHEN: Thursday, November 21st at 9 p.m.

Chicago prog-dance rock outfit Digital Tape Machine is coming to Urbana on their tour route. They’re performing here at the Canopy Club with locals Sun Stereo. They’re not only performing here with Digital Tape Machine, but they’re opening for them in St. Louis the night before as well. They released a new album earlier this year called Be Here, so check that out if this show catches your eye.

Here’s a pretty awesome free show happening at Shadelite Studios on Friday night. Headlined by Terminus Victor, they’re having a pretty solid year with the release of Prevention vs. Intervention, which we reviewed back when it came out. Joining them is Indiana’s Hype War Machine, and locals The Stars, They Beckon and Acker.

Local rock outfit Lonely Trailer is headlining this show on Friday night at Mike ‘N Molly’s. Solid folk-rock/Americana bill lined up at Mike ‘N Molly’s on Saturday night. Chris did an interview with Neoga Blacksmith a short while back, which you can check out here in anticipation of this show on Saturday night. Local solo singer-songwriter Morgan Orion will be accompanying the full outfit of Neoga Blacksmith.
