The legendary Dwight Yoakam heads through Champaign at the Virginia on Wednesday night. Country singer Yoakam has a laundry list of accolades, so I won’t dive too much into that, but this is a highlight of the week in live music in C-U.

Kenna Mae has been performing here and there over the last year or so in C-U, and her last record came out in 2015 (read the review here) called Blue Darlin’. It was one of the best releases of the year in our mind. Mae performs with Impalas at the Iron Post on Friday night.
