EDITOR’S PICK: WE THE ANIMALS, MUSCLE WORSHIP, SUNS,
THE FIELD AUXILIARY, RYAN GROFF
The Velvet Elvis ($5) — Saturday, December 7th at 8 p.m.

Really stacked bill over at the Velvet Elvis on Saturday night, which is headlined by new-ish local outfit We the Animals. The band features Mark Wyman of Take Care/Barrowe, Kayla Brown, Mikeal Brackett of The Annas/Midstress (both RIP, sadly) and various other projects, and Joe Fun of Scathe. Not only that, the four who follow on the bill are very worthwhile as well. Elsinore’s Ryan Groff is set for a solo show, plus the rest features Kansas crew Muscle Worship, and a pair of Chicago bands Suns and the Field Auxiliary.
