Local house party faves have a new EP entitled The Freaks, and are celebrating its release with other local bands and a party at Cowboy Monkey.

There’s no such thing as free lunch, but there is such a thing as “Free Friday” at Mike N Molly’s. Spend that money on beer instead of paying cover to see these three hard rockin’ bands.

This benefit barn show features Kenna Mae Reiss, Kroovy Rookas, Isaac Arms, Kayla Brown, Concerned Fathers, Mona’s Dogs, Finer Feelings, Waterfowl, and The Fights. Proceeds benefit Imerman Angels, an organization supporting cancer patients.


Mike N Molly’s ($25) — Saturday, August 15th, 7 p.m.

Urbana High School alumnus Mark Roberts went on to create television series Two and a Half Men, as well as Mike and Molly, so, appropriately, to Mike N Molly’s he returns — along with other comedians and musicians (and alums), for a comedy and music show. The show benefits the Greg Chew Theater Scholarship, as Roberts was a former student of Chew’s at UHS.
