Looming are Springfield’s #1 indie sweethearts, Total Asshole are a “novelty punk” band, and Meat Wave, who are from Chicago, have a Wipers cover so I automatically like them more.

Canopy Club ($16) — Thursday, April 9th, doors at 8 p.m., show at 9 p.m.

The most syrupy smooth trip-hop imaginable comes from 19-year-old producer Marcell Everett, who goes under the moniker XXYYXX. His Pygmalion Festival set was cancelled last fall, so he’s making it up with this show.

WHAT: Super Mega Awesome Big Fun Art Show

WHERE: Fluid Event Center

WHEN: Friday April 10th-Saturday April 11th

You’re just going to have to peep the Facebook event on this one, because there are far too many artists, bands and DJs involved for me to describe them all in one blurb. It’s a two-day Boneyard Festival event at the Fluid Event Center.

WHERE: Canopy Club ($15 advance, $20 door, $75.75 VIP Meet & Greet)

WHEN: Saturday, April 11th, doors at 8 p.m., show at 9 p.m.

If there’s one thing to commend Lil Dicky for, it’s his balls. The guy really pushes the boundaries of needless vulgarity and lewdness, and has somehow garnered a bit of a cult following (his fans are called “dickheads”). It’s not for everyone; let’s just leave it at that.

WHAT: I Am God., Slam Dinner, Pinko, Copeland Roberts and Cuomo, Attorneys at Law

WHERE: Institute 4 Creativity ($5)

WHEN: Saturday, April 11th, 9:30 p.m.

I’ve got nothin’ to say about this band, but that is an awesome name. Like, awesome possum.

WHAT: The 92s, The Tomblands, Robel Arega (stand-up)

WHERE: The Itchy Pig (free)

WHEN: Saturday, April 11th, 9:45 p.m.

The second half of that Urbana festival of sorts. The 92s are coming back with The Tomblands and Robel Arega, who will perform standup. There will also be a keg.

WHAT: DJ John Hoeffleur
