Year of the Park, A to Z: Meadows Square Park, Champaign

Meadows Square Park 

LOCATION

2502 Meadow Square Lane, Champaign

HISTORY AND FEATURES

This is a teensy little rectangle of grassy space that serves as a pocket park for those living in the neighborhood just to the north of Cherry Hills. It is one acre, and it was established in 1988. It was donated to the Park District and the tax paying citizens of Champaign by Champion Federal and Hutcon, Ltd.

Is that the exact same thing that I wrote above? Fine, I think that works here. I’m wearing thin these days on park writing, but it’s worth noting that despite my fatigue, I am going to give it my all to finish this series with some gusto. But this park is not one that I am able to give any of that gusto too, as it happens.
