This special concert brings together local musicians from throughout the Champaign-Urbana community to celebrate 65 years of American musical theatre and dance between 1878 and 1943 through music, words, stories, and images.

Even if you’re not a Trekkie I’d suggest you check out The Wrath of Khan. Maybe I’ll lose some cred. but, in all honesty, it’s the only one of the Star Trek movies that I’ve seen. Ricardo Montalban, as Khan, will make you scream. (JS)

David Howie to Perform at Children’s CD Release Event, 10:30 a.m.

Free and open to the public

A new CD of children’s music will be released at a free event at the Champaign Public Library, in Robeson Pavilion, Rooms A & B. Champaign-Urbana singer-songwriter David Howie will perform his original songs from the disc, entitled What I Like: A Kid’s Collection of Songs and Smiles.
