Smile Politely

Taste of Champaign-Urbana long exposures

I like that we have the Taste of Champaign-Urbana. It is a great reason for people to visit West Side Park, eat local food, shop some local (and not local) crafts, and enjoy some music, ponies, or bouncy houses. I photographed the event by taking pictures of families and people enjoying food and walking around the park but with long exposures so they look blurred. I also took some regular pictures of people, those are in the gallery and also fun to look at.

Breaking boards. Very cool! The kids were very polite, outgoing, and anxious to show off their skills. I think Tae Kwon Do teaches those skills. Here’s their website for more information http://www.hmdacademy.com

I love this statue and so it is in a lot of these photos. It is caled “A Prayer for Rain.” I love how he looks strong and powerful yet humble at the same time. The animals are a bonus and even out the shape of the art for me.

Here are some young ladies having some fun, and it made for a great shot. Right on. If you see me out, I would encourage you to interact with me and the camera. I love it!

I don’t know how many people attended this year’s Taste but I felt like there was a strong crowd. And that makes me happy.
