This week on the podcast — local author J.T. Hartke joins us to talk about his debut fantasy novel, published earlier this year. The Dragonsoul Saga, a 5-book set, begins with A Balance Broken, and Mr. Hartke hosted a book signing at Jane Addams Bookshop this past Saturday. We chat about the fantasy genre, how long this story has been fermenting (quite a while, it turns out), the struggle of searching for a publisher who would take a chance on a new author, and the joy of finding just that. The book is already getting great reviews and a solid following, and an in-town book release party is scheduled for this Thursday, September 20th at Indi-Go Artist Co-op.
