Roll to Rio, a celebration of C-U champions

Attendees were invited to bring their bike, skateboard, kick scooter or anything that rolls and to celebrate Champaign’s own Paralympic athletes as they make their way to Rio for the 2016 Paralympic games which begin in Rio September 7th.

Yesterday’s event was Hosted by Champaign’s own Josh George, World Champion, Gold Medalist and 2016 Rio Summer Paralympics Racing Team Member and Co-Hosted by Neutralcycle.

Josh was recently featured in this BMW commercial shot here locally in Savoy, IL. Check it out!

The Roll to Rio event started at West Side Park, rolled through the streets of Chamapign and ended at The Accord with a toast to the athletes. There were guest speakers, music, Q&A and an athlete meet and greet.

Be sure to support our Paralympic atheletes on September 7th!
